CD Case with built-in speaker Sound quality is good. Very low price. But... Monophonic only. CD player takes up much of interior space. No tone controls. Short hook-up cord. CD player inaccessible when closed. Not weatherproof. No carrying strap (has snap hook for belt). Relatively bulky and heavy. Lacks auto power-off for speaker. Case is somewhat rigid. LOVE IT! I purchased this portable CD case with speaker several years ago. The reason I bought it was so I could impress a man with love songs in a remote romantic location...that night didn't quite go as planned, so I ditched the guy and kept the CD/portable speaker!! I absolutely love this thing and it has gone with me on trips to Australia, California, Virginia, Cape Cod, and many others. The only down side is it does seem to wear down the batteries in my CD player rather quickly, but I'm not sure if it's the speaker itself as opposed to just the model of CD player I'm using. For those of us that are not always so technologically advanced or the first to jump on new technology ~ this CD/speaker is great! I've had three friends order this product after vacationing with them...they love the versatility and they are all ipod addicts! THIS LITTLE GUY IS AWESOME! For the money, the size & portability this thing is great. I've always heard JVC puts out good product. It sounds great! As much as you can expect from a little, portable player. I love it. I use it for my MP3 player when I am out running, walking with my son. It hooks right on the stroller. & if you need more room inside you can just pop out the cd sleeves. Not a bad deal at all!!
